In its commitment
to serve the community and offer a positive representation of African
Americans and other minorities in the sport of drag racing, the U.B.D.R.A.
can be seen throughout the community. Members of the organization annually
participate in parades, car shows, providing holiday baskets to needy
families, mentoring in the area schools, doing "School Show and Tell"
presentations, and much, much more!
CAR SHOWS Car Show 2005 Photo Gallery CIVIC and COMMUNITY EVENTS In its commitment to be an active part of the community, the U.B.D.R.A. is an annual participant in the Annie Malone Children & Family Services Annual Health Fair and Parade. To show our support of the efforts of other community service organizations, the U.B.D.R.A also participates in The Better Family Life Parade, the Cinco De Mayo Parade, and the Gateway Classic Parade. Our members and cars can often be seen at other programs and events throughout the Metro and Metro East areas of St. Louis, MO. SHOW and TELL PRESENTATIONS This is a wonderfully well received program where members take their cars and trailers to schools for "Show and Tell" day. These events offer wonderful opportunities for members to meet children, from preschool to high school, and educate them about automobile safety, the important benefits of a substance-free lifestyle, the importance of staying in school, and the wonders of drag racing. Its also a great opportunity for us to grow a few new fans! ANNUAL BANQUET The Annual Awards Banquet is an occasion for us to say thank you to our members, sponsors, supporters, and friends for their hard work and commitment throughout the year. It is also a great opportunity to showcase the highlights of the year's events and present our annual charitable donations to the deserving recipients.
